22 APRIL – THE WILLOUGHBY’S (NETFLIX) 

Netflixs newest animated movie,The Willoughbys, is based on the childrens book of the same name by Lois Lowry. The book parodies various childrens stories with happy endings, as the Willoughby children seek out their own happy ending — or at least a satisfyingly maudlin one. 

24 APRIL – EXTRACTION (NETFLIX) 

Directed by Simon Hargrave, whose past credits include Avengers Endgame and Captain America: Civil War. Chris Hemsworth stars as a black-market mercenary with nothing to lose, who’s hired to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned international crime lord. But in the murky underworld of weapons dealers and drug traffickers, an already deadly mission approaches the impossible. 

24 APRIL – AFTER LIFE S2 (NETFLIX UK) 

Still struggling with immense grief after the death of his wife, Tony (Ricky Gervais) is trying to turn over a new leaf. Will he succeed in helping the people around him, or will he go back to being the same old Tony?

26 APRIL – THE LAST KINGDOM (NETFLIX) 

Landing on Netflix on Sunday the 26th of April are 10 new episodes of The Last Kingdom, the bloodthirsty historical drama based on Bernard Cornwell’s ‘The Saxon Stories’ novel saga. Season four continues the story of Uhtred (Alexander Dreymon), a Saxon-born but Viking-raised warrior who became King Alfred’s military right-hand-man/mortal enemy/cherished friend over the course of the first three seasons. 

 27 APRIL – NEVER HAVE I EVER (NETFLIX) 

Inspired by Mindy Kaling’s own childhoodNever Have I Ever is a new coming-of-age comedy about the complicated life of a modern-day first-generation Indian American teenage girl. The series stars newcomer, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan as Devi, an overachieving high school sophomore who has a short fuse that gets her into difficult situations.
