A breakdown to this year’s most anticipated award ceremony
If you didn’t know already, Sunday night was the biggest and most anticipated awards ceremony of the year – the 2024 Oscars.
What unfolded was the kind of magic and spectacle that only the world of cinema has to offer at the Dolby Theatre. It wasn’t just about the glitz and glamour; it was a celebration of storytelling, a tribute to the craft of filmmaking, and a recognition of the year’s most compelling narratives.
Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” lead the charge of wins, a narrative so explosive it mirrored the atomic tale it so masterfully depicted. Nolan, alongside Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jr., found themselves winning Oscar gold for the first time. Followed by Tony McNamara’s “Poor Things” which won several Oscars including for Best Actress Nominee Emma Stone, another first Oscar win for this starlet too.
